North Deerhorn Climbing

Deerhorn Valley is a mecca for unlimited exploration of granite “Premium Miniatures.” However, most of this uncharted territory is covered in dense chaparral and typically in, around, or within private property. This guide focuses on North Deerhorn- the hillside that resides on the north side of Honey Springs Rd., dividing the two peaks. Property lines seem to blur high up on the hillsides and keeping a low profile while navigating such terrain is necessary to avoid negative interactions between yourself and a property owner. Surrounding both areas lies much more to explore, mostly located in blurred areas. Make sure to smile and be respectful!
