Big smiles and big routes. @mitziacosta s just about to top out on a classic 12 pitch route. We used this to train speed climbing techniques for a quick ascent of time wave zero.First run, we got stuck behind parties and mostly pitched out the route normal, time 4hrs and 45min On our second run we came more prepared and with no parties ahead of us. This time we mostly simul climbed and eventually did the route in 3 pitches and 2hrs and 6min. Wrapping up a great trip to Red Rock. We managed to log many pitches and climb fast. Not that it counts but we had a lot of fun doimg so.1st day: Birdland (5 pitches) and Cat in the hat (4 pitches). 2nd day: Beulah's'Book (4 pitches) and Solar Slab (9 pitches). Overall we covered about 3200 feet (975 meters) of steep terrain with multiple rappels and quite the descent hike through the remote and beautiful canyon landscape of Red Rock. Hard to imagine that we were just a 30min drive away from the strip.
